Ceremonial ground-breaking
Veröffentlicht: 4/7/22

Over the course of the next few months, a new state-of-the-art order-picking warehouse and production facility of the Ilshofen-based special machinery manufacturer Bausch+Ströbel will take shape between Steinäckerstrasse and Voltastrasse in Wolpertshausen. A warehouse, order-picking areas and offices will be built with a total area of 3,236 square meters and is projected to cost around EUR 4 million.
Unfortunately, the weather didn’t get the memo. However, it wasn’t bad enough to put a damper on the celebratory mood when Ralph Frank, Managing Director of the Ilshofen-based special machinery manufacturer Bausch+Ströbel, warmly welcomed guests to its ground-breaking ceremony on Thursday 7 April. Among others, Jürgen Silberzahn, Mayor of Wolpertshausen; Moritz Frick, lead architect, and Thomas Knülle, Managing Director of Farmbau Fertigsysteme GmbH from Langenburg; Christoph Schneider from the construction company Schneider & Sohn from Gammesfeld, several Bausch+Ströbel partners, including company co-founders Rolf Ströbel and Siegfried Bullinger, Bausch+Ströbel Managing Directors, and Works Council representative Björn Uhlig were present. Together they officially inaugurated the start of the construction works.
"This construction project sees Bausch+Ströbel taking another significant step forward in the direction of corporate growth. That is not something that can be taken for granted in this day and age," said Managing Director Ralph Frank in his welcoming address.
Next, Harald Maier from Farmbau Fertigsysteme GmbH praised the excellent and professional cooperation with Bausch+Ströbel. Jürgen Silberzahn expressed similar sentiments, describing Bausch+Ströbel as the single most important employer for the people of Wolpertshausen.
Finally, Björn Uhlig, Chairman of the Bausch+Ströbel Works Council, thanked the company's partners for their forward-looking investment decision. Bausch+Ströbel’s construction project manager Gerhard Blumenstock added: "The pandemic and also the war in Ukraine highlight how important efficient, modern logistics systems are for a business."
This is, firstly, because customers in the pharmaceutical sector expect ever shorter delivery times from Bausch+Ströbel, both for new machines and, above all, for spare parts when it comes to servicing. The company has grown rapidly in recent years and expanded into several new locations. The new facility will not only supply the main plant at Ilshofen with much-needed parts and materials, but also other locations, such as the recently completed syringe conditioning complex in Neuenstein. The goal is to ensure smooth and efficient interaction between all parties involved in the supply chain.
