On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Bausch+Ströbel celebrated the progress made on construction of its new production facility in Dülmen with a topping-out ceremony. Invited guests, project participants, and representatives from politics and business gathered on the site to celebrate this symbolic milestone together.
The new location will be used to manufacture innovative isolators for sensitive pharmaceutical products—a future-oriented addition to the Bausch+Ströbel portfolio. The modern production hall with an adjacent three-story office building is being constructed by Goldbeck's Münster branch.
In his speech, Markus Ströbel, Partner and CEO of Bausch+Ströbel, emphasized the strategic importance of the project for the company. Markus Ströbel also provided an overview of the key construction data: plans include a 5,000m² production hall and a three-story office building with around 3,000m² of floor space, which will be built in accordance with the ‘KfW 40’ low-energy standard. Sustainable technologies such as a heat pump, a 600 kWp photovoltaic system, and underfloor heating with partial load cooling will ensure energy-efficient supply. The hall structure will be equipped with 10-ton crane systems
In his speech, Dülmen's mayor Carsten Hövekamp smiled as he made a play on words about the local festival culture: “Dülmen has 18 shooting clubs and therefore many shooting festivals (Schützenfest) – but this is our first pillar festival (Stützenfest).” At the same time, he expressed his gratitude to the decision makers who chose Dülmen as their location and emphasized the importance of the 150 jobs being created for the region.
Christian Terwey, branch manager of Goldbeck's Münster branch, praised the smooth cooperation with the local government and expressed his delight at the visible progress: “For me, a pillar-raising ceremony is better than a groundbreaking ceremony, because here you can already see what is being built.” At the same time, he expressed his hope that he would be able to welcome everyone involved to the official inauguration in a year's time.
A particular highlight was the ceremonial christening of the pillar, which marked the end of the official program. Afterwards, refreshments and conversations provided an opportunity for discussion and reflection on the future development of the site.
With the project in Dülmen, Bausch+Ströbel is setting a clear course for further growth – and underlining its role as a reliable and innovative partner for the pharmaceutical industry.
