Modern and high tech

Our electroplating department has had to overcome many a challenge during the last two years. In early 2020, work began on the step-by-step demolition of our old building no. 4, which had housed our electroplating department for around four decades. Ongoing operations had to be maintained during subsequent construction of the new building.
The first section of new building no. 4 is now completed. This state-of-the-art two-story complex is the new home of our electroplating department, which has been reaping the benefits of the latest technology and optimal working conditions for several weeks now.
In our advanced water treatment plant, for example, the wastewater from the rinsing baths is turned back into a distillate of pure water. "By carefully treating wastewater in our own modern wastewater treatment plant and reusing it, we are making a sustainable contribution to protecting the environment and conserving resources," stresses head of electroplating, Matthias Leyrer. The air extraction systems also reflect the latest chemical and technological advances, providing us with clean air.
The second section, which is scheduled for completion in the course of 2022, will house our sorting equipment manufacturing department and the electrical and mechanical training departments.
