Bausch+Ströbel SE + Co. KG was awarded the silver medal for the first time in this year's sustainability rating by the internationally recognized platform EcoVadis. This places the company among the top 15% of all companies worldwide that have been assessed over the past twelve months.

Since 2020, Bausch+Ströbel has been undergoing independent assessment by EcoVadis in order to continuously and transparently develop its own sustainability performance. Following the bronze medal in 2023, the current award marks another milestone on the path to greater environmental and social responsibility.

EcoVadis assesses companies in four key categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable sourcing. The assessment is based on a comprehensive questionnaire, involving guidelines, process descriptions, and other supporting documents. The results are weighed in an overall assessment, from which the best-performing companies are awarded medals each year.

“This award is a strong sign of our employees' commitment and the success of our sustainable corporate strategy,” explains CEO Bernhard Frisch. “Our goal is to take responsibility along the entire value chain—transparently, credibly, and measurably.”

The steady improvement in all four assessment areas shows that cross-departmental work on sustainability issues is firmly anchored in everyday business at Bausch+Ströbel. In addition, the EcoVadis rating is an important tool for many customers to objectively assess the sustainability performance of their business partners.
“We see sustainability as a collaborative undertaking,” emphasizes Frisch. “The silver medal is an incentive to continue on our path – maybe next time we’ll even win gold.”
