On September 1 at 7:30 am sharp, a new phase of life began for 48 new apprentices and students, and everything was of course ready and waiting for them: drinking bottles, B+S shirts, writing pads, ball-point pens and welcome folders.

"Starting into working life is a big and important step and we place great emphasis on qualified training and of course on motivated apprentices", says Bernhard Frisch, Managing Director of Bausch+Ströbel, in his welcome speech.

Thorough training has always been of great importance at the special machine manufacturer from Ilshofen. And this has not changed in times of coronavirus. "We are investing in the future of our company. It is already clear that we want to hire about 50 apprentices again next year", explains Kathrin Kranz, Head of HR - Apprenticeship and Universities / Personnel Marketing, and she adds: "Giving young people a perspective in uncertain times is an absolute win-win situation."

A sound and demanding few years of training lie ahead of the apprentices at the special machine manufacturer in Ilshofen - training that will open up a wide range of career options for them. It is not for nothing that two Bausch+Ströbel apprentices have already been named as Germany’s best industrial mechanic apprentice of the year and another three best in the state of Baden-Württemberg. This is just one reason why "Focus Money" magazine listed Bausch+Ströbel as one of Germany's top-ranking apprenticing companies.

Training is offered in a wide range of professions: from industrial mechanics to electronics engineers for automation technologies, from mechatronic engineers and technical draftsmen to industrial business management assistants.

About half of the 1,800 employees of Bausch+Ströbel in Ilshofen began their career with training or university studies at Bausch+Ströbel. All in all, Bausch+Ströbel has trained more than 1,000 young people over the past five decades.

Besides the 48 new apprentices and students, Bausch+Ströbel welcomed 40 new employees on September 1 as well.
