“Process Reliability meets Flexible Production” is Bausch+Ströbel’s keynote topic at this year’s ACHEMA trade show in Frankfurt am Main.

As batch sizes become ever smaller and products ever more sophisticated, demand for flexible and reliable production systems is steadily increasing. In keeping with this, the transformation towards automation and digitization continues apace in the pharmaceutical industry. To make production faster, more efficient and more reliable, digitally controlled processes are being implemented at all levels from field to corporate management.

In line with this trend, Bausch+Ströbel will be showcasing innovative technologies and forwardlooking processes at this year’s ACHEMA. One of the most exciting new developments is B+S OMNIA: a central platform for everything to do with Bausch+Ströbel production systems – a platform that supports turnkey integration into higher-level systems from the point of delivery as well as offering a broad suite of digital services.

In the event of a machine alarm, OMNIA provides all the information needed to correct the problem as quickly as possible. This information can be accessed directly at the machine operation panel. Net result: the alarm can be fixed more quickly and the machine can be put back into operation in the shortest possible time.

With data-supported production now important than ever, OMNIA makes machine data available centrally, enabling machines to interface more easily with various process control systems. The means that a whole host of applications - from GMP and process monitoring to advanced efficiency and maintenance analysis - can be implemented very easily.
