New Executive Board Member Appointed to the Production Division

Starting September 16, Graduate Engineer Abhishek Gakhar will take on responsibility for production at Bausch+Ströbel in Ilshofen as a member of the Executive Board.

The 41-year-old most recently held the position of Vice President of Production at GEA Group AG within the Valves & Pumps Business Unit. At GEA, his role frequently brought him into contact with plant engineering for the pharmaceutical industry.

In 2013, the company employed 1,100 people at its Ilshofen site and in the Heilbronn/Franconia region. Today, this number has more than doubled to over 2,200 locally and 2,850 worldwide. Born in India, he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from KIT in Karlsruhe before pursuing an MBA at INSEAD in France and Singapore. He has since worked in numerous companies in various countries across Europe and Asia. He has lived in Germany since 2001, currently residing in Hamburg, but is but is looking forward to moving back to southern Germany with his family.
