We have been developing and producing machines and systems for the reliable pharmaceutical processing of cartridges in bulk for many years. We cover all relevant process steps – from siliconising and filling to optional in-line glide force measurement.

Our machine concepts are designed for different output ranges and enable reliable and reproducible output - regardless of whether low, medium or very high throughputs are required. Typical applications include the processing of insulin, GLP-1 products such as semaglutide, pen devices or dental anaesthetics.

Our features for your cartridge filling

ECOWash

With ECOwash, we offer a system that cleans every object optimally and leads to significant savings in media resources and a reduction in noise emissions. This is ensured by the combination of special cleaning needles, which are developed or customised specifically for your requirements based on comprehensive tests.

Siliconization

The station for the internal and external siliconization of cartridges enables consistent, reproducible siliconization - even at varying machine speeds.

Energy efficiency

The greatest potential for savings in a line's energy consumption lies in the sterilization process. Modern sterilization tunnels set new standards in terms of energy efficiency and enable a significant reduction in resource requirements.

Reliable and gentle throughfeed

The throughfeed system enables high precision and dynamics throughout the entire process. Due to its robust and low-maintenance design, it also ensures particularly gentle object transport, even at the work stations

Stopper insertion

The stopper insertion process is a central step in the processing of cartridges. The servo-driven system ensures high precision and repeatability, while the open, LF-friendly and Annex 1-compliant design supports process reliability. An in-line glide force measurement can be integrated as an option.

Air bubble-free filling

When filling bulk cartridges, a multi-stage dosing system ensures bubble-free filling. Sensor-based filling makes this possible without additional product extraction

Process steps

The aseptic processing of bulk cartridges comprises three main steps: Firstly, gentle, pharmaceutical-grade cleaning is carried out using a pressure-adjustable rinsing/spraying system with subsequent internal and external siliconization. The cartridges are then dried, sterilized and depyrogenated in the sterilization tunnel. On the filling and closing machine, the plunger stopper is inserted precisely, the product is filled without air bubbles and the cartridges are closed directly using a crimp cap; optional testing and coding systems can be integrated.
