Production of safe syringes
This continuous-motion labeling machine which not only labels the syringes but also applies the needlestick safety guard (Safety Device) is a valuable extension of the Bausch + Ströbel production program for processing single-dose syringes.
With the combination of labeling, inserting plunger rods and mounting the needle guards on one machine, the company provides an optimized alternative with a small footprint compared with individual stand-alone components. For the supply of the syringes, plunger rods and safety devices to the machine a variety of feed units are available, depending on the delivery packaging of these components which may be delivered in bulk or sorted in trays. A system has been developed which applies needlestick safety guards regardless of make and also labels the syringes and adds plunger rods at an output of up to 24,000 syringes/h.
